Bowles joined the Navy 17 years ago. Today, Bowles serves as a strike operations officer.
“I joined the Navy to fly,” said Bowles. “It worked out. I flew P-3s and served all over including the Pacific Northwest, Southern California, Maryland and Virginia. I also deployed around the world.”
Growing up in Norfolk, Bowles attended Princess Anne High School and graduated in 2001. Today, Bowles relies upon skills and values similar to those found in Norfolk to succeed in the military.
“Growing up in Norfolk, I learned the importance of leaving early to get to work on time,” said Bowles. “It’s important if you want to avoid gate and tunnel traffic.”
